Next Step Microgrant: RegenScore
1. What is your project? (max 100 words)
RegenScore rewards regenerative on-chain activities by issuing NFTs based on your score. You improve your score by performing actions such as contributing to GitCoin Grants, participating in Impact DAOs, holding $KLIMA, and more. Currently, the project is a Proof of Concept, created at the ETHNewYork hackathon. We plan on developing and growing RegenScore in the long term, furthering our mission to make regenerative finance appealing and rewarding.

3. How is IPFS, Filecoin, or related technology used in this project? (max 100 words)
IPFS is used to store the generated NFTs, using the excellent nft.storage API and library. Each generated NFT image is unique and contains the address of the minter and their score at the time, directly in the image. Further metadata is also stored on IPFS for later retrieval.
4. How will you improve your project with this grant? What steps will you take to meet this objective? (max 200 words)
Our top priority as of now is reworking the score calculation to be more efficient, and rely less on centralised services like Etherscan. This will improve fairness and transparency. We also want to improve the general code quality by redoing / refactoring parts of our codebase.
5. Do you agree to share grant reports upon request, including a final grant report at the end of the three month period?
Yes on all counts.
6. Does your proposal comply with our Community Code of Conduct?
Yes.
7. Links and submissions
We began and worked on the project exclusively at the ETHNewYork hackathon. The project page can be found here.
