Project Description
Scarcity and shortage of blood units to save lives in Nigeria has always been a great challenge, also connecting blood donor speedily to where it is needed is a huge problem. Thus the proof of concept for BloodFuse to address these challenges.
BloodFuse with the link https://bloodfuse.com is a web-application with web 3.0 features that connects blood donors to blood banks and hospitals that are in need of blood for their patients, using a blockchain smart contract. This is a business to business (B2B) as well as business to customer (B2C) model, and it is to address the challenges of blood shortage as well as reduce the death rate in Nigeria caused by blood shortage. Also payment and reimbursement can be processed via cash (fiat) and crypto, while all BloodFuse files will be stored on the Filecoin, blood donors are awarded with an NFT badge of honour for donating blood. BloodFuse will be one of the best blood donation platform because it is design to incorporate blockchain features which include decentralized storage system, smart contracts, NFTs, thus making it secure and innovative.
Value
Getting this project up and running will lead to more businesses and corporate individuals data storage on Filecoin. Also it will lead to more adoption of Filecoin and more blood donation payments transactions been done using Filecoin . If we do not get it right, we may not have more businesses and individual usage and adoption of Filecoin. The risk involve in this project is that there are no much Filecoin developers in my country, thus much Filecoin development research task need to be done towards getting this project right.
