Please provide: I am following the tutorial on the figma site and using the sds library to follow along figma v 1.3.2 windows 11

hat is the URL of the Figma file containing design components you'd like to connect? ... https://www.figma.com/design/VRoq600Dbi4DnfBNzWapuJ/Simple-Design-System--Community-?node-id=128-10528&p=f&t=ttjh1sNgg5roW0eG-0

Failed to fetch components from Figma (403): 403 Invalid scope(s): Please ensure that you have selected both the File Read scope and the Code Connect Write scope when generating the token.

I'm experiencing the same issue as described in #278.

I'm following the Figma Code Connect documentation and getting the same 403 error: "Failed to fetch components from Figma (403): 403 Invalid scope(s): Please ensure that you have selected both the File Read scope and the Code Connect Write scope when generating the token."

Environment:

  • Windows 11
  • Node v20.15.1

I've tried creating a new personal access token with the following scopes:

  • File content
  • Dev resources

However, I'm still getting the same error. The documentation mentions "File Read" and "Code Connect Write" scopes, but these exact names don't appear in the token creation interface. This seems to be causing confusion as the actual scope names in the Figma interface are different from what's mentioned in the documentation.

Could you please clarify which exact scopes are needed for Code Connect to work properly? Also, it would be helpful to update the documentation to match the actual scope names available in the Figma interface.

Thank you for your help!

Hi @vi-vlasov, thank you for reaching out.

Based on your comment:

The documentation mentions "File Read" and "Code Connect Write" scopes, but these exact names don't appear in the token creation interface

Can you confirm your account is associated with an Organization/Enterprise plan? Code Connect is available only on certain plans.
