demo client does not work in Titanium Desktop, only in chrome after 2nd open instance is refreshed

demo client does not work in Titanium Desktop (as its loading one instance), have to load the demo in more than one chrome window

One has to refresh the page from the last loaded window /OR/ type a command like info to get the console to show output in the previous instance (tab/window) in chrome.

Is this a known problem?

Also having problems reporting not finding the methods declared e.g.: TypeError: Result of expression 'client.local' [undefined] is not a function. on_local at app:/demo.js : 65 handle_action at app:/demo.js : 126

Are these errors related or independent? (FYI, I was working on master checkout from 24 July 2010)
