[Feature Request] FLARM/FANET telemetry
Hey, if not already on some list, I'd like to see FLARM/FANET telemetry via Bluetooth implemented. Strato is nice now as a single device for short/local flights and it's awesome to be seen - but on longer flights I still like to take a phone/tablet/kobo with LK8000 or similar apps for navigation and better visualization. I think the screensharing of Strato to other devices was planned initially, but for now it would be nice if we would get the option to forward all received data from FLARM/FANET to see other gliders on the map. Is this a possibility? Thanks!
One more vote for this feature from me. It would be a match made in Haven to use the full Strato feature set with third-party software such as FlySkyHy and Naviter Navigator. I have been in touch with the developers behind Navigator, and they would happily implement FANET+ support for Strato if the relevant data is available in the LK8EX1 data stream.
Just figured it out how to do it for XCTrack. There is no way to fit it into existing LK8EX1, however XCTrack (and I assume all others) do accept a plethora of NMEA messages. One of them is FNNGB, which forwards your FANET buddies to the app.
Anyhow, here is a patch: https://github.com/fhorinek/BB/pull/506
