[D.272] File system destroyed

Open Altgenug1 opened this issue 2 years ago • 12 comments

When I tried to access the Strato with Windows today, I realized that the file system could not be read. I then wanted to copy the strato.fw file over. I get a short acoustic signal and the window closes. Interestingly, the Strato can be started.

In an attempt to fix it, I formatted the SD card (three buttons) and then tried copying the strato.fw file again. Now copying and the firmware no longer works.

So my strato is currently just a paperweight. :-(

Another wipe, then using the bootloader update via browser and finally reverting to D269 got mine kind of operational again.

I think my strato is now dead. I cant use the bootloader any more: image Please help!!!

Can you see the strato (or broken unknown device) in device manager? If so please remove the driver from that device.

Then continue to update bootloader as normal via strato.skybean.eu/dfu/

Doesn`t work. After removing the driver there is no "DFÜ in FS Mode" in Zadig to find. And after dis- and reconnecting the Strato I get the "Unknown device" again. image

Are both power ports connected? It really does require that for the bootloader update.

OK, I didn`t know that. Now it works an I was able to go back to [D.269] B U T : But the file system is still not readable for the PC??? image

I still end up in a loop when I try any version with the file system migration. My device is not usable at all beyond 269, so I definitely would not recommend and wait for a testing or release version.

OK, I stop now any further tests - it works for 10 min and now it is dead again - no connection to the Windows-PC possible. And I didn`t do anything - I switched it of - started charging - and tried to switch it on again. . . . . . . Absolutely insane - tried again before posting - now the file structure is readable again. But writing is still impossible. An update via WiFi is also not possible. I'll put it in the drawer now and wait for a new version.

Hy Skybean-Team,

unfortunately, I can no longer bring my Strato to life permanently. Despite reset, bootloader update, firmwareupdates (269, 270, 271, 272, 273) reinstallation of the driver in windows in all imaginable variants and sequences, it is no longer possible for me to get my strato stable in operation.

When I want to reconnect it to the PC after a update and a first start, I hear a ping but it no longer appears in File Explorer. So I have to do the complete process again. I can't program any more pages. No maps can be uploaded. AGL's cannot be copied either.
It discharges within a few hours in the turned off state.

I just don't know what to do. I ask for your help. Should I send in the device?

We are working on the data transfer issue for mac and windows now. Also on the more reliable way to migrate the filesystem. In the mean time I suggest you to downgrade to the release version. Downgrade bootloader https://strato.skybean.eu/dfu/ copy strato.fw from https://strato.skybean.eu/fw/release/262/ to strato

The release with new features and stable fs will be available in two weeks.

Hi,

I have the same issue, won't switch on, detected by Windows as a drive, but won't allow file copy. I have updated twice with bootloader, still cannot file copy? Where do I go from here?

Thanks Steve
