Hurdles to connect to iPhone

Open BoehniM opened this issue 2 years ago • 8 comments

It’s a complex workaround to connect the vario with my iPhone and Flyskyhigh. I have to disconnect and reconnect it to make it work. No easy pairing that remains. And had to unpair at the Strato to use it again as a speaker.

The secret is to not pair it. Stop the pairing. Simply tap on the vario symbol in Flyskyhy and choose strato. That way you don‘t need to unpair every time. The downside of this is however, that you can only use it for flyskyhy. You cannot play music on strato without pairing.

But at least the Bluetooth connection works that way (in some fw versions).

Kind regards Georg

Do You know about any other software on iPhone that uses external vario device? I wonder if this flyskyhy specific or it is Strato... I experienced the same issue on iOS.

The Seeyou Navigator App also allows you to connect a bluetooth vario, but I think only in the premium version.

@georghg Thanks for the tip. In free version it is possible but it works only for 3 minutes. The same issue with Navigator - without pairing it works. After pairing first connection is established then every next attempt fails (same as flyskyhy).

NOT pairing the device seems to be a valid workaround for now.

I have the exact same issue, running Navigator on iOS. I have tried with several phones, and all show the same behaviour.
