Strange peaks in flight-log, when calcuating speed

Open Basti3DB opened this issue 3 years ago • 4 comments

It´s not deticated to the newest firmware, i noticed this bahviour a for a while now. So after uploading my flight to "dhv-xc.de" and take a look at the speed graph, i notice a few very strange peaks, which definitly shouldnt be there. I know the .igc log file only contains the position and not speed but the speed afterward is calculated with the position, so there must be something wrong? Here is an example speed graph of todays flight (just gliding). grafik

How do you access the flight logs?

I connect the Strato to my pc and then via the File-system i go to the folder "logs" and search for my newest flight

You get this kind of effect on any GPS track when there is poor satellite fix and your GPS reports an incorrect track point (either as if there has been little or no movement - or there has been a sudden jump forward). This shows up as a double glitch on a speed chart: A reduced speed segment and an exaggerated one.
