Virtual desktop games

Hello, I was trying to start a game (Asgard's wrath) directly from virtual desktop but the mod vrperfkit is not loading. Meanwhile, if I start SteamVR first and then start the game from there (using Revive because this game is Oculus only) the mod works perfectly.

Do anyone knows why and how can I make it work when starting the game directly from Virtual Desktop?

Virtual Desktop replaces the Oculus runtime, and vrperfkit is not compatible with that. The path through SteamVR/Revive is indeed your only option if you do not want to use Link.

FYI the new version of Virtual Desktop fixed the issue with OVR API hooks:

Quest/Pico/Vive version 1.29.10 - Release Notes [...] • Fixed compatibility with vrperfkit in Oculus mode

There was just a flag we weren't properly honoring. I tested it with Contractors VR in Oculus mode, and the fixed foveated rendering was working.

I play with Virtual Desktop through SteamVR. Never had any problem, have lot's of hours on SkyrimVR and some other games
