[Feature Request] Discard Weapon (drop)
In multiplayer/Combat Simulator, you can already give another player your weapon, but you have to be disarmed to do it-- which makes you dizzy, and feels like a punishment.
Or you may pick up a weapon that you don't want in your inventory, as it only acts a nuisance when it keeps stubbornly popping up when you try to cycle to your next weapon.
When the weapon(s) drop and are removed from your Inventory, it could be the same effect as when somebody punches the weapon away from you, with the weapon flying off in front of you, or how they plop to the ground after you die. Or more like how it looks when you deploy a Dragon aimed at the ground. Something like that.

Got me thinking, since I'm wondering how it could be best implemented for folks like me who still use an N64 controller... You press and hold A to open the weapon wheel and then hover over each weapon... as you're hovering over a weapon-- press L/R to discard and drop it. I think that's the best implementation. At least initially it doesn't need to be elsewhere in the menus.
For extended controls, it could be a dedicated button for sure
This would also add a new dynamic for scenarios with items. Would be awesome to toss the briefcase to a teammate, or if playing non team, throw it to another, since NPCs target the case holder.
