New control optimizations
First of all thank you for mapping the play, fast forward, rewind, stop keys on the classic remote with the new app version! Some problems I've encountered with new new controls:
Problem: holding fast forward or rewind key on the bottom row of the classic remote doesn't increase the jump steps like d-pad left/-right key
- Solution: self-explanatory
Problem: when using the fast foward/rewind keys on the bottom row of the classic remote the enter/select key is too far away (annoying)
- Solution: play key in ff/rewind mode should equal enter/select key; also in normal playback mode to show information panel
Problem: it's too complicated now to fast foward/rewind with d-pad (1. Enter/select, 2. D-pad-up, 3. D-pad-left/right)
-
Solution A: d-pad left and right keys during playback should directly activate ff/rewind mode instead of information panel and chat; chat can still be opened with e.g. info key
-
Solution B: (only) when information panel is showing during playback d-pad left and right keys should directly activate ff/rewind
Thank your for raising a issue. I will try and get back to you as soon as possible. Regards @fgl27

Tizen is design like this not a app issue I notice when I enable they, all keys I tested on hold will send to the app multiple clicks but those will not, that is how samsung made it, so is necessary to make a different and separated type of key listener just for this to work as others do, or maybe there is a samsung extra function related to this I need to check furter didn't had time yet.

That is the best solution yes.

The other some day.
Perfect, thank you!
I'm not sure you read it because you didn't comment on it yet: is it possible to make the play key (bottom row) act as enter/select during ff/rewind/playback mode?

Yes I miss that was too many things...
This part :
Solution: play key in ff/rewind mode should equal enter/select key;
OK I get it makes sense simple to make..
But this
also in normal playback mode to show information panel
you mean show panel info on play key click, if not paused right? Also if pause click pressed and already pause show info panel
That makes sense

Yes, exactly.
BTW, I've got an idea how to overcome the "hold doesn't work with FF/REW keys"-problem:
-
Pressing FF/REW once locks the default jump step (auto-jumping e. g. every half second) until PLAY/PAUSE/SELECT or FF/REW is pressed (again)
-
Pressing FF/REW again increases/decreases the auto jump step (and so on)
-
Pressing PLAY/PAUSE/SELECT exits jump mode
-
Hopefully this is possible. A side benefit of this would be that the function differs from the d-pad version and that it's more battery friendly. ;-)
The only part that's open in this thread:

Any chance you'll find time for this? The thread can be closed afterwards.
