Laker crashes when previewing in XCode (latest version)

Open digitaloverdose opened this issue 14 years ago • 4 comments

Hey guys!

I downloaded Laker yesterday and unzipped the starter package. When first loading it into Xcode I just wanted to do a little preview in the simulator just to see if Laker is what I need. (btw. it DEFINITELY IS!)

First time running went fine - I used the simulators fpr iPhone and iPad.

Since then Laker isn't running anymore in simlation-mode. The simulator starts but the project is "paused" with 5 issues before displaying everything.

I also tried to load another fresh unzipped version of laker - but nothing changes.

I placed a screenshot of the errormessages here: http://www.hard-times.info/download/screen.png

Thank you very much for your support in advance!

Regards Ingo

Did you used the new Baker 3.1 from the Baker Page? I just updated the Laker Website. Baker is not any longer a part of the laker starter pack, because all features were implemented in the baker core.

cheers

Ah, ok. So I'll download the Baker-Package and use it with your Laker-Framework.   Cool.   Thank you very much for the fast and helpful reply.   Regards Ingo

Hello and thank you for this fast reply!

After installing the new Baker-libraries I am nearly done - the App starts running via the Simulator. There are only two features missing:   The YouTube-videos and the Navigation-bar. If I watch the HTML-files in my webbrowser everything is fine (including header and navigation) - but when viewing it via the iOS-simulator, no videos and no navibar appear...   I got used to modify the original baker-navigation - so I'm relly fine with this.   But how can I solve the problem with the non-appearing youtube-clips?     Regards Ingo  __

Yeah, the simulator is a bit weird regarding videos. Did you tried it on an actual device? There the videos should work.

Regarding the navibar: The top navibar which you see in your browser, is disabled on the ipad, because it's not needed there. Navigation on ipad works by swiping. You access the table of content via a double tap.
