Would be great with git integration.

Please elaborate. What specifically do you expect from VS code integration?

Oh, I see. VS Code plugin for structured editing of a tree-like structure with an org-mode-like visual. Am I right?

There are many places to add some ffriendliness to an editor like vsc.

  1. footer line
  2. activity bar
  3. some interactivity with command bar
  4. editor-hosted FF interface

The tricky question for 1-3 is "what to do when user clicks things?".

MVP can be as little as having 𝑓𝑓 5 in a footer and getting a summary in a new window on click.

My personal priority in GUI is a standalone all-user application.

This idea looks very-very pleasant, it would be very cool if somebody will do this.
