Please clarify licence

Open mirabilos opened this issue 6 years ago • 5 comments

Hi,

the composer.json file says MIT, most files lack an explicit licence grant, some say “GNU/LGPL 3 License” but there is nowhere an explicit licence grant or file or something, some files even say Apache v2 licence…

Please do clarify the licence raintpl3 is under (I am assuming that example*.php and templates/ are separate from the main code (mostly under library/) which is… perhaps GNU LGPLv3-only? Or GNU LGPLv3-or-later?) and document it in the source code.

I'll need to update everything in MIT, since I'm not supporting anymore this project, I rather letting it go free :)

That would be awesome, thanks!

@edhelas might wish to know about this not being supported any more, though (maybe he can pick it up).

Hi @mirabilos I'm co-founding a new startup and I will not have time to update the code at least until the end of Q2. In case you need this update now, please go ahead, update the license in every PHP file and open a pull request, I'll review it and merge it.

Thanks!

OK, I have done so in https://github.com/feulf/raintpl3/pull/187

The new release/tag is still missing.
