I had the same issue, because my Ferdium was installed to a custom path, not the default one. So the updater would install to the default path (C:\Users\user\AppData\Local\Programs\Ferdium), but the old Ferdium would start from the original path I installed to (and auto start from that location too) and would prompt to be updated again.

Same thing on my side, the button doesn't work and I have a custom directory (I use the portable version).

I'm on version 7.1.1 on Ubuntu 24.04 and have the same problem. Recipes are updated, I click on the button, the app closes but does not disappear from the Notifications area. I wait 10 mins, nothing happens. I gotta kill it manually and when I start it again the message is still there. No custom paths, no nothing - just the regular DEB package installed.
