Autocomplete popup does not appear
First of all, thank you for this project. I was directed to this project from a blog post and was hoping to get some real python codecompletion working in Gedit. I download and Unzip the source code into my Gedit plugin folder and enabled the plugin in the settings. However, I still dont have any autocomplete popup when I code in python. Do you have any suggestion how to get this working? I am using Ubuntu 11.04.
I would also like to suggest creating a wiki page here that would explain the installation process as well as any dependencies or potential issues that might need resolving so others dont encounter the same issue.
Thanks again!
Hi arasbm,
Sorry but i abandoned this project since 2009. I suggest you find a fork on github.
best regards,
Rodrigo

Thanks for the quick reply. Its always sad to see a great opensource project is abandoned, but I am sure you have your reasons. There are several forks and most of them that I checked dont have any documentation. Is there any fork or alternative tools that you would suggest?
Heya - I started porting it to Gtk3 but when I asked for some support in #gedit I was told that word completion is available in the gedit-plugins package.
I'm not sure if that's entirely what you want but it served my needs (I wanted something like Vim's omnicomplete) but more info on what's included in that package is availabel here http://live.gnome.org/GeditPlugins
