Select the image if there is no current selection present [v2]

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe. I want to be able to generate a canvas of the current selection, but this fails currently if the user only rotated the image and there is no selection.

I'd want to be able to programatically select the image to then generate the canvas of the selection.

Describe the solution you'd like A way to create a selection that layers on top of the image or a way to select the image when the page loads.

Describe alternatives you've considered I have tried setting initial-coverage to 1 and 1.0, neither worked. The initial-coverage property in general does not seem to do anything for me.
