Is it direct playing or transcoding? If it isn't direct playing then please provide ffmpeg logs
Are you using the same file for 10.8 and 10.9?
Honestly this sounds like a documentation issue if increasing that problem fixed the issue
I don't recall seeing any errors in the console.
Additional testing: When I get sent to the server selection screen, if I add a new server and put in `localhost:8096/jftest` the server connects.
