Markdown is simpler to write posts, but HTML offers more flexibility. I think that supporting both options should be a good option.

Suggestion: Add footer Powered by 1Post

It would be nice to have a footer **Powered by 1Post** on the template such as Jekyll, Wordpress and other frameworks have.
