There are nes and famicom roms with their headers removed, such roms are usually from No-Intro nes and famicom database.

Mesen emulator seems to be the only one which can open them thanks to it's database? Headered roms are the ones that should work in most emulators such as yours because the header is not removed, some info about Mesen and headerless roms:

Interesting, I wasn't aware of this headerless ROM format. I'll open a separate issue to track that!
