Description

Hi Daniel and Audrey, I don't know if this is the place for suggestions but here it goes.

"It’s usually not worth it to heavily customize the Django admin." seems like a pretty big statement and you don't elaborate on it very much. What counts as heavy custimization? It would be nice to have some concrete examples.

Thank you,

Possible Solutions

Zags Zagorsky gives an overview of a similar point in his djangocon 2021 talk. (link with time) https://youtu.be/V1dEWyzDfuY?t=1848 e.g. if there are fields that an admin should be able to edit but not an operator/support person then a custom view would be better.
