Rear camera not giving an output

I'm using a cheap ONN (walmart eugh) 7" tablet to run octo4a and while it does detect the rear camera, it only shows black coming from it. The front camera works fine but having both as an option would be better.

What logs etc would you need to figure out what the problem might be?
