@ciechomke: unfortunately this repo does not comply with f-droid inclusion policy. However, I'm trying to fix few things in order to get it to work.

  • There's no apikey provided in this repository
  • We use GCM library with android-job

ugh didn't notice GCM, my bad

@ciechomke when I'm able to remove gcm dependency, I'm not sure if I can keep apikey in public repository.

@feelfreelinux that's the bigger problem. Of course you can't publish apikey. This issue needs further investigation. It may be not possible to include this app in official f-droid repo but maybe you will be able to include it in izzysoft https://apt.izzysoft.de/fdroid/index/info

OK I did some investigation (mainly help in F-Droid matrix.org room) and some guys said that you have to store your API key in app repo or F-Droid repo so unfortunately it has to be public. After all there are apps like https://github.com/yeriomin/YalpStore which seem to do well with having api key more or less public.

We have two ways to release this app on fdroid:

  • Create script that will export api keys from compiled apks and add it to tarball
  • Create separate fdroid repository. But I need to host it somewhere

https://apt.izzysoft.de/fdroid/index/info You can talk with this guy, his repo is very popular
