Description
When a folder is customized with a custom icon in Finder (macOS Tahoe), the Dock does not display that custom icon. Instead, the folder appears in the Dock using the standard macOS folder icon. This breaks visual consistency and makes it harder to quickly identify frequently accessed folders that rely on custom icons for recognition.
The Dock should accurately reflect these customizations, just as Finder does. Ensuring that the Dock displays the correct custom icon would improve coherence across the system and better honor user-defined customizations.
Steps to Reproduce:
- In Finder, choose a folder and apply a custom icon using the standard “Customize Folder” button.
- Verify that the folder shows the correct custom icon in Finder.
- Drag the customized folder to the Dock (or replace an existing folder already in the Dock).
- Observe that the Dock displays the default folder icon instead of the custom one.
