Description

Since CSImportExtension does not work on the Mac I would like to suggest removing it from the list of supported OS at the top of the documentation page, this would save others a lot of time trying to get it working.

That’s my experience. I researched this in gory detail as part of a DTS TSI and my conclusion was that Core Spotlight importer extensions just don’t work on the Mac )-: While we have a bug on file about this (r. 91288903), I would appreciate you filing your own bug based on your recent experience. The 2 issues I faced are the custom attributes are not actually imported into the spotlight database. Also the extension does not have permission to open files, which it would need to do to compute the attributes from the file's data.
