Description
I have been experimenting with Apple RAID JBOD (concat) with APFS container as the file system. I can create the JBOD but if I try to add a disk to it, it fails with:
Unmounting disk Repartitioning disk4 so it can be in a RAID set Unmounting disk Creating the partition map Adding disk4s2 to the RAID Set Can’t resize the file system on the RAID set 95FA9384-31E9-4916-8FFD-13B3AA0F551F Invalid request. : (-69886) Operation failed…
Also if I create the JBOD with 2 disks that's fine but when I attempt to remove a disk it also fails with this can't resize file system error and leaves the AppleRAID in an inconsistent state where the disk is still in the RAID but its not possible to use any commands on it.
Hope this can be fixed!
Test system is: macOS 15.5 Mac Mini M4 USB4 -> M.2 NVME caddy -> Mini SAS M.2 card -> mini SAS port on 4 bay SATA caddy. 2 x 14TB WD HC 530 disks
