Description
If you’re really groggy or if you’re sick, and you wake up in the morning thanks to your Apple Watch, it’s really easy to fall back asleep after turning off your alarm — or even intend to hit Snooze but accidentally hit Turn Off.
Apple Watch knows what stage of sleep you’re in immediately before you wake up. Apple Watch knows if you’re up and moving or if you’re sitting still. Unless Apple Watch detects movement from your wrist after you say you’re awake, it should extend sleep tracking to about thirty minutes after you turn off the alarm to make sure you don’t fall back asleep.
This would save many hundreds of thousands of people from heart attack in the morning.
