Categorized notes disappear every other time the app is opened

Describe the bug Categorized notes disappear every other time the app is opened. Each time I open I either see notes in the category of they disappear after appearing momentarily.

Context

• Device: Samsung Galaxy J1 ace (SM-J111F)
• OS version: 5.1.1
• App version: 5.3.0 Alpha 1

How to reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Create a new note and categorize it
2. Press the home button
3. Open the app (wait for some time, categorized note disappears)
4. Press the home button
5. Open the app (wait for some time, categorized note reappears)

Expected behavior Categorized notes don't disappear every other time.

This is really frustrating me a lot. It's as if I'm using two versions of app data for the app.

I could even try and see if I could fix this if I'm pointed to relevant parts of the code base.

I don't see this problem with version 6.1.0. I have created 5 categories.

(Just downloaded/installed today.)
