Fdroid, not Google play

Open ghost opened this issue 10 years ago • 4 comments

Nothing much, but MyAppList keep trying to find apps in Google Play even if not installed.

I'm running a Cyanogen without Gapps but MyAppList keep talking about Google Play.

It seems to use an appstore call. If Google Play is not available it tries automaticly to open in F-Droid, if app is available. This seems to be the right way.

I confirm. But unfortunately the app misbehaves a little when PlayStore/FDroid boh installed. Then the dialog raises to choose among the two. In this case:

  1. the app can call markets for two apps without pause
  2. a user cannot see the app name that is to be installed.

In Android 9: just fails to find F-Droid apps.

Also, the text and html lists always show Google Play addresses, even for apps which did not come from there.

Note: apps installed from F-Droid can be recognized as such from their signature. Thus, this issue can be resolved at least for that repository.

Hi, this is 2023 calling, and this feature would still be very much appreciated 👍
