[Todo] Write and automate e2e tests?

Let's write end-to-end tests so we can be confident that the search and download features are working properly.

I also reached out to my friend at QA Wolf @jperl to possibly experiment with using QA Wolf as a e2e driver. Cypress also works, but is a bit heavy-handed in my opinion. Will review this issue when I’m ready to stage the new web app.
