Characters Pasted Incorrectly into Signal Messanger and Vesktop?

I have rofimoji being opened through rofi-wayland by a niri keybind on Fedora 43. When I search an emoji then hit enter to autopaste it into signal or vesktop, it shows up as some random unkown character. Heres some I've tested. 👍 ->  😀 ->  🤔 -> 樂 etc...

Ive tested a couple apps so far. Bugged:

• signal-desktop rpm via Terra
• vesktop-1.6.1-1 rpm

Working normally:

• Firefox
• nvim
• alacritty

Also, Alt+C works fine to copy then manually paste the correct emoji into signal and vesktop.

That sounds like some problem between wtype and Signal/Vesktop. Have you looked at its issue tracker whether it's a known problem, maybe with Electron?
