Add option to send desktop notification when copying totp to the clipboard
This change adds --use-notify-send so that a desktop notification is sent when a totp code is copied to the clipboard. The purpose of this is there are times when there is a delay between typing the password and copying the totp and if one pastes too quickly, something other than the totp will be pasted.
Thanks for this; I'll have a deeper look in the next days 🙂
One initial question, though: Do you have any idea why it's not copied immediately? And how long can that delay become?
I don't know... My system is pretty fast (Core i7, 80 GB RAM, Arch + Qtile). But sometimes when I'm logging into Opnsense, whose 2fa appends the code to the end of the password, I'll press Alt+1 to fill in the username and password and immediately press Ctrl+V to paste the TOTP and it'll paste something much longer than 6 characters (whatever was on my clipboard). With the notify-send, I can see that when the notification shows up, it has definitely been copied so I have a visual sign that I can press Ctrl+V.
Thanks

Sorry, took a bit longer than expected, but everything looks fine. Thank you! 🙂
