Agreed. Custom Completions need to be tweaked a bit. My way around this, for now, is to do `^npm`.

I think they are their own category as is_custom but you may be right that they could be treated as external. Also custom completions kind of play in this arena...

my guess is that nushell could be trimming line endings. Even though this is wrong, I wonder what happens if you do something like ```python c.sendline("echo aaa\n") ```

I'm not sure how we can know when to allow line breaks and when to disallow them.
