`torch.asarray` `copy=True` parameter has no effect when used with `device=xpu`

The issue has been fixed upstream, will be available in further relases or builds from source on latest commits.

Performance: `joblib.Parallel` is significantly slower than `ProcessPoolExecutor` for tasks with large objects

Thanks you for the report, I currently have some available time and could try to reproduce and investigate and profile. Likely the difference is in serialization of the input object....
