Windows Support?

This is more of a question than an issue, but has anyone considered working to make this project compatible with Git for windows? I am really only able to use a windows environment for development at work and this functionality would assist me greatly. This may be a bit of a stretch, considering the minimalism inherent in the git for windows environment.

I would be interested in hearing your thoughts.
