Unexplained error message
This error message:
xxx@xxx-Asus-P8Z77-V-Pro:~$ sudo dexattach --check --verbose /dev/ttyUSB0 Opening /dev/ttyUSB0 and setting line discipline Cannot set line discipline: No such device or address
is not explained at all. I can't figure how to fix the problem.
Sincerely, Marc.
P.S.: The dexdrive is plugged, before booting the computer. I even tried with the serial ports of a PCI-Express external card (i corrected ttyUSB to ttyS). Still the same error.
After rechecking, i noticed the DC outlet was a bad one. The external diameter (negative current) of the plug was OK, but the internal diameter (positive current) was too large and didn't made any contact with the central pin of the DC inlet of my device.
It's as dumb as this. Sorry for the inconvenience. Now i have this message:
xxx@xxx-Asus-P8Z77-V-Pro:~$ sudo dexattach --check --verbose /dev/ttyUSB0
[sudo] Mot de passe de marc-mongy :
Opening /dev/ttyUSB0 and setting line discipline
Cannot set line discipline: Invalid argument
Some tunings are still needed, but my device is properly power supplied now.
Thanks anyway, Marc.
Est-ce que le module est bel et bien chargé? Dixit le README :
(If you get a
Cannot set line discipline: Invalid argumenterror, it is most likely that the dexdrive module isn't loaded.)
(Pour vérifier, juste à rouler lsmod | grep dexdrive. Si rien n'est affiché, le module doit être chargé avec modprobe.)
Bonjour @fbriere ,
Oui, j'ai bien le message suivant:
""" Opening /dev/ttyUSB0 and setting line discipline Device number is 252:0 """ Donc techniquement, le logiciel fonctionne. Mais je ne suis pas plus avancé pour après. Est-ce qu'il existe des logiciels sous Linux (similaires à DexPlorer) qui font appel à votre pilote?
Bien cordialement, Marc.
