Unable to start network adapter after boot

Have a asrock j3455 itx with 16GB ram, the onbaord nic is realtek 8111gr . In tiny core Linux the network works but after the loader is build (dsm918+, 920+, 3615xs), starting up the loader will just stuck at Booting.... then the nic won't start at all - no light on the port.

Is there anyway to see the boot log?
