Old Shortcut can´t be overwritten

Open develth opened this issue 7 years ago • 5 comments

Hey there,

i assigned new Shortcuts to every option on the settings page.

If i hit they ^ key, redTimer always Stops the current Task and wants to create a new issue.

In the end, i could not use the ^ key while redtimer is running.

Thanks & Cheers, Thomas

Hi @develth

Which shortcuts did you assign? Do they have anything to do with the caret symbol (^)?

Best regards Freddy

Hi @develth

I am not sure whether Qt allows shortcuts with multiple letters (e.g. R + G). Could you try for simpler shortcuts (e.g. Ctrl+Alt+R)?

Were you not able to use the caret symbol in any other application?

Which OS are you using? Is it macOS?

Hi @fathomssen

i changed the settings back to your suggested and it works. Seems to be the multiple letters...

Were you not able to use the caret symbol in any other application?

Yes, in any application when redTimer was started.

Which OS are you using? Is it macOS?

macOS 10.12.5

Thanks, Thomas

Great, I will add a check that the specified shortcut is valid.

Btw: If you had problems with the resolution on a Mac Retina display, try the latest build.
