Progress stalls on "Checking and cleaning..."

Ajax response: 407: /var/www is unwritable

Changing directory permission helps, but average user has no idea why the progress stalled.

This is not an technical issue, maybe a better message could help?

It is important issue in terms of users seeing JUpgrade not to work and will give up.

Yes, having a good error message would be very helpful to the users.
