No way to use Taskbar for pinned favourite apps

It would be very handy to have the taskbar not only for recent apps, but for pinned apps by choice.

So instead of showing the recent apps, there would be a switch for it to show another list of favourite apps.

Another setting should exclude hidden apps from the recent apps list.

Then if the taskbar could be used as a recent apps bar, a setting to choose "open favourite apps menu" or "open taskbar" by pressing the "show" overlay button would be needed. Because now, when used on a phone always hidden, you have to press the button two times for it to show all apps.
