Show taskbar in desktop mode

I am using Taskbar Desktop mode with Surface Duo (Android 11) and X3 Lapdock and it works almost perfect. Sometimes the Duo enters into some strange status when disconnecting the external monitor in which you only see the background with no commands working anymore but after a restart it works fine again.

Just one thing: how can I force the taskbar to show up again after having started an application. I could not find any key combination to get back to the "desktop". Only way is to close the active app by going back until the desktop with the taskbar is shown. Is there any key combination to open the taskbar screen or a way to force taskbar's arrow being display permanently on the external screen?
