Taskbar not working on Android 12

Any plans to get this working on Android 12? I've tested on 12L via Android Studio as well as some standard A12 custom roms - all exhibiting the same severe issues with apps not really launching at all in freeform mode nor permission request pop-ups for assigning navigation button control to Taskbar. It's basically not useable at all on Android 12 at the time of writing.

Has there been any dev progress since the release of Android 12 - or how about a beta APK I could possibly download and test now? The Pixel 6/Pro comes with A12 standard and cannot be downgraded to A11 due to lack of drivers for the new Google-based Tensor CPU.

Thanks for reaching out. I have not found a way to get Taskbar to launch freeform windows on standard Android 12 devices (the exception being devices that already declare freeform window support as a system feature via config.xml). I have actually hidden the freeform mode settings page on Android 12 devices in the latest release (6.2) because of this. Taskbar launches apps in freeform just fine for me on 12L, though (on the Pixel 4a and also using the Android Studio emulator)

OK seems to be working in 12L after a reboot! Experiencing some mad flickering on the Android studio emulator when launching apps - doubt it will glitch like that on actual hardware though. The native taskbar in tablet devices doesn't seem to play nicely BTW, so was wondering if that can be turned off in the settings somewhere - not that I plan to run 12L on a tablet.
