Taskbar / Advanced features / Widget dashboard grid size
I prefer layout 3 x 1 instead of default one 1 x 3, but every few days this setting resets itself to default. I am using Taskbar app on Acer Chromebook 714 with Android Pie. Is this a known bug in Taskbar version 5.0.1?
The default dashboard grid size should be 4 x 2 on Chromebooks, FYI.
Do you use your Chromebook in tablet mode often? Currently, the grid size values will swap depending on whether or not the device is in landscape or portrait.
I am sorry for misleading use of word default. I meant by that "default" the layout state to which Takbar reverts itself from the layout I set so often. I never use tablet mode on my Chromebook.

I changed it to 3 x 1 because I have only 3 useful widgets. But wait, maybe we have identified the culprit, because when I press USE DEFAULTS button I get 2 x 4 layout which isn't appropriate for landscape Chromebook screen when it should be 4 x 2.
About my setup - My Chromebook is powered from LG UHD 27" monitor over USB-C with PD which is set as primery display and I have set two extended displays: Samsung FHD 27" monitor over second USB-C to HDMI and internal 14" touch panel.
I am getting legit excited for this project. Since the closed development of Flow desktop, this is the only project that does this. maaan i can't contain myself for next release.
This issue is still present in Taskbar version 6.0.
