[bug] New Note widget doesn't save note or interferes with main app when note is saved

This is the behavior of the New Note widget on Notepad v3.0.3:

The new note is not saved when exiting the widget. Alternatively, the note is saved when clicking back or save buttons, but it leaves the main app in a strange state that requires opening it a few times to go back to normal.

Expected behavior would be that the New Note widget behaves in the same way that the main app does:

Tested on Android 11 and 13, both showing the same issues.
