I'm sorry to write this in the same way someone would write a negative review on trip advisor, but I actually had a bad trip with this tool and I would advise not to use it.

The issue is that this ReconnectingEventSource is never trying to reconnect when I shut down my FastAPI server.

"This library ensures a reconnect always happens".

That's simply not true.
