Steps to reproduce

Browser flash when coursor hover or leave the links contain cjk characters

For example , open the link https://www.google.com/search?q=vimb%E6%B5%8F%E8%A7%88%E5%99%A8 And hover or leave the coursor on the links of the google search result.

Expected behaviour

Normal and nothing happen.

Actual behaviour

The browser flash.

@yanwh0311 Do you mean that the whole browser flashes. I can only see the statusbar which changes it's height a little because the cjk chars could not be visualized and are shown as big sqares.

My screen recoding, actually the coursor is nomall , maybe the whole browser flashes cause that . And see that , when the coursor hover or leave the links , there's a blash flash. maybe my gtk theme set black. if gtk theme is light , there is a white flash

@yanwh0311 Wow, that looks horrible. Does the flickering disappear when you :set status-bar!? If this is the case, the flickering might be cause by slightly resize of the viewport.

I have the same problem upon entering/exiting hint mode.

@fanglingsu the bug still there in the git version. you can click the link and try it. Yes , the flickering disappear when set the status-bar disable.
