Customize Application Names

Sometimes the applications don't have a good name that is understandable without the icon. If it was able to change the application names (without needing to add shortcuts) it would be better.

Described functionality is literally alias with extra steps.

The problem with adding alias is that not only you will have two different names to open the same application, but also you will still need to refer to the original application name when using commands like apps -st appName or apps -addtogp groupName appName.
