Support Locations

Instagram now makes you login to view an Instagram location feed. Is there any way instafeed will support that? An example is one for the empire state building below. Supporting a location number e.g. 6811413 would be great.

I've implemented the feature request in the PR #4, you can find pre-release test binaries here: https://github.com/falzm/instafeed/releases/tag/v0.4.0-beta1

To use a location-based username, prefix the location ID with "loc:" (e.g. instafeed loc:6811413).

It seems to work ok but every location reverts back to loc:6811413. For example if I change it to the statue of liberty (loc:212911294), it still pulls pictures from the original loc:6811413 like its hardcoded.

Well that's embarrassing, you're right – I forgot to remove the hard-coded value I used during my tests... 😒 I've fixed the problem and re-built new binaries, you can re-download one from the same release page. Sorry about that!

Yes it's the same link as before, I've re-uploaded the new binaries in the same pre-release.

I apologize, I must have gotten a bad binary as when I re-download it, I am getting the same output as you now. The results returned don't seem to be the latest posts but I will play around with it to see if there is any logic to what is being pulled from the instagram site (seems random).

I don't really know why the posts returned in the feed differ from the actual ones on the IG website/app, this is maybe something that should be brought up to goinsta, the upstream IG library used to fetch the location-based posts.

You are correct! goinsta issue #226 is that it does not allow linear feeds for a location yet. I will monitor but thanks for all your help and the great support!

@edsimpsons83 alright, glad to know that I didn't implement it wrong at least. I'll wait for the upstream issue to be fixed before merging this branch and release a new version with this feature.
