Cadence has trouble seeing interfaces whereas qjackctl functions okay.

I'm having ongoing problems with Cadence on two separate machines.

At a certain point, Cadence can no longer properly manage the different interfaces I have - the inbuilt sound on my laptop, and the RME babyface that I use.

If I try to change interfaces, Cadence often cannot see the other interface. Sometimes Cadence misreports the interface that it is connected to - it will show for instance Babyface, when in fact PCH is active.

I have attached images to demonstrate. qjackctl cadence

I can agree. I have experienced the same behaviour on two different machines. QJackCtl does show all available devices, Cadence just a few to none.

Using the application "KXStudio Welcome" and doing a full reset of all settings fixed this for me.

The bug came back after about 6 hours.

This happens to me as well, running Manjaro. Qjackctl recognizes all devices:

HDA NVIDIA (hw:0)
HD-Audio Generic (hw:1)
ALCS1200A Analog (hw:1,0)

But Cadence does not recognize hw:1, which I need, and shows "Generic 0" as it would be the only one. This is a big problem for me, as only hw:1 works well for me. I muddle through writing hw:Generic on Cadence's Device/Interface section. But when changing to other device, hw:Generic disappears and I have to enter it again manualy.

Seems that this problem is not new (it's been known for at least a year and a half). Please, try to correct this! I will give the information required and make the necessary tests/debugs!
