Patchbays: Highlight connect port on selection

Open diovudau opened this issue 6 years ago • 5 comments

When you click on a port that is connected to another one the clicked-on port will be highlighted, and so will be all the jack "cables", but not the actual ports at the end.

It would be useful to see the paired port without following the cable with ones eyes, so please highlight it as well.

Though it is not exactly what is requested above, how above slightly more different way, with full chain (de)selection? I.e. consider following assumpted configuration: clients A, C with stereo outputs and B - stereo inputs.

With connections A:out_L -> B:in_R and B:in_R -> C:out_R if you select any of these ports, entire connection chain is (de)selected, but not more.

Example from my test case: port_chain_selection_00 port_chain_selection_01 port_chain_selection_02 port_chain_selection_03

Yes, why not.

I got working both variants, but it is for carla. Full-chain selection was just simpliest, comparing to pair-selection, but it is for carla. Waiting for falktx reply - wether it will go to carla and then moved along with other stuff, or directly to cadence.

all patchbay changes should go to carla first.

all patchbay changes should go to carla first. I wasn't aware of this priority, I assumed code sharing. Thats why I posted this to Cadence.
